Installing renewable technologies

Options for renewables

There are a variety of renewable technologies you should consider when designing your next project.

By carefully applying design principles that capture the sun's energy or extract heat from the ground or air, energy use in buildings can be reduced dramatically.

Including renewables as part of your design will significantly reduce your client's carbon footprint as well as reducing their energy bills as you lessen their dependency on energy from the grid.

Solution Guides

To help make the process as simple as possible we've created a set of data sheets that help you understand more about each renewable technology including; how they work, hints and tips, related products and related services.

What funding is available?

The government have introduced financial incentive-based schemes to help property owners manage the cost of installing both heat and electricity-generating renewable technologies.

The schemes homeowners are eligible for may depend on the location of the property (England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland).

They can act as an additional selling point for architects, as your client can benefit from financial incentives through the various government schemes but also by helping to reduce your clients carbon footprint and impact on the environment.
