The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) have announced that there will be a pause to the Feed-in Tariff from 15th January - 8th February 2016.
DECC have announced that in order to preserve the £100m budget and ensure better value for money for bill payers, there will be a pause to the Feed-in Tariff (FiT). The scheme will pause from 15 January 2016 until new tariffs are implemented on 8 February 2016.
During the pause period, applications to FiT licensees (<50kW) or to Ofgem ROO-FIT (>50kW) can still be made, but will be put into a queue; no new applications will be granted until the 8th February.
Additionally, pre-accreditation is closed during this time, so projects that need to pre-accredit will need to apply on the 8th February.
On the 8th February, all applications which were made between the 15th January and the 7th February will be automatically processed and the scheme will be open to new applications, both full accreditation and pre-accreditation. The new tariffs and new caps will then be in force.
