Steico are the largest European manufacturer of I beams, this cost effective and highly versatile package adds a whole new dimension of performance and convenience to your building projects. I-Joists offer more economical use of materials, greater strength and reduced thermal bridging than conventional joists. They can also accommodate ventilation ducts and other services without expensive trimming, thus saving time and money to the client.

Whilst steel, concrete and large section solid timber components require mechanical handling, the STEICO joists are up to 50% lighter than solid timber and thus handling becomes easier, with erection times significantly reduced, making extensive labour cost savings. This flooring solution gives you easier installation and unequalled design fexibilty. Steico joists are available in any length up to 13 meters with Ultlalam™ structural LVL beams available in lengths upto 12meters .

Easy installation of services with the ability to cut large circular holes through the joist and with the addition of a reinforcing detail holes up to 250mm by 200mm can be achieved to accommodate industrial sized ducting.

• Full 3D illustrations which can be manipulated to highlight any potential clashes and to highlight any complex areas of the design.

• Lightweight and dimensionally stable products with lengths of up to 13meters, giving clear spans of up to 6.5mtrs with no need of structural steel beams and expensive engineering calculations. Saving money on foundations, block walls etc.

• Free In-House Design Service in Northampton, Salford, Bridgewater and Hartlepool. We can offer a full design service for all sizes of jobs, from the smallest domestic extension to large complex commercial buildings.

• Steico Ultralam TM (LVL) is made of multiple 3 mm layers of graded laminated spruce veneers. High strength capabilities weight to ratio. This construction means that the Ultralam™ is highly rigid and dimensionally stable. Available up to 12meters in length.

• LVL timber flanges offer the ability of wider spans with greater compression strength, 8mm web from Natural fibreboard with high sheer capacity -14N/mm2. Superior strength and easy installation of services.

• A unique product is the STEICO wall, available as a pre-insulated stud using natural wood fibres. The spaces between the flanges and the web are pre-insulated thereby eliminating the need to profile the insulation on site, and the stud can therefore be used in the same way as a traditional build thus creating reduction in thermal bridging.

• Availability of a pre-insulated wall stud in variable depths.

• The STEICO construction Building System meets the requirements of the Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, Zurich Insurance and Robust Details Ltd.

• An easy cutting product (with hand or machine tools).
