The Stern Review has shown that climate change is now a serious and immediate issue. In 2009 more than 30% of the UK’s carbon dioxide emissions, a major cause of climate change came from the energy we use to heat, light and run our homes. From now on, it is vital that the new homes we build use energy efficiently and are built in a way that helps to reduce harmful emissions.
