SBS Supports Forrest to deliver PV installation

Forrest has over 50 years experience in the construction industry and has completed many environmental improvement programmes across the UK, including major environmental residential tower block refurbishments, new build domestic properties to the latest BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes standards.

Forrest has achieved MCS accreditation during April 2010 for two technologies, solar thermal and solar photovoltaics. This allows the company to survey, design install and commission these micro-generation technologies. Working with Forrest, SBS and TP delivered on time and to budget to meet the growing requirement for PV installation.

INDUSTRY FIRST AS TRAVIS PERKINS GROUP GAINS GOLD STANDARD OF FREIGHT OPERATOR RECOGNITION SCHEME

The Travis Perkins Group is amongst the first vehicle operators to be awarded the Gold Standard of Transport for London’s Freight Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS), which aims to improve freight delivery in the capital.

The Group Transport team has been recognised for its high levels of safety, efficiency and environmental responsibility, including initiatives that have reduced CO2 emissions by more than 2.4 million kilograms and vehicle incidents by more than 85 percent.

To achieve the Gold Standard, Travis Perkins Group has had to meet industry-leading performance criteria by demonstrating a track record in improving its sustainability. This includes operational targets based on reducing CO2 emissions and vehicle incidents, improving efficiency and maintaining high levels of health and safety.
