Renewable technology

What are your options?

Renewable technologies may generate electricity or heat using the energy from the sun, ground or air.

There are many factors you should consider before deciding which renewable to install, for example; whether you consume more energy for your electricity or to heat your home/water, size of your property, location of property (on or off grid) and current radiator system.

SBS offer design, supply and installation packages for a range of renewable technologies that are tailored to you, whilst subtly integrating sustainable technologies into the building project, all with a personal and friendly service.

How do they work?

We've created a set of pages that help you understand more about each renewable technology including how they work, hints and tips, related products and related services.

What funding is available?

The government have introduced multiple incentive programmes to help homeowners manage the cost of installing renewables, including the Feed in tariff (FiT) and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

The schemes you are eligible for may depend on your location (England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland).

In order to benefit from these subsidies you must work with installers accredited under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
