A hardworking team from leading plumbers merchant PTS picked up its paint brushes recently to refurbish the interior and gardens of the Mind Association’s Hackney and City London office.
After three days of hard work, the seventeen strong PTS team from as far away as Scotland were able to improve the building and therefore enhance the experience of guests who were often visiting to make use of the mental health support offered by Mind.
The group decorated the IT centre by painting the large room, in addition to giving two courtyards that are used for consultations a face-lift. They also refurbished the front of the building, cleared rubble, and upgraded the walkways.
Marc Miller, Renewables National Account Manager at PTS, said: “It took us three days to complete the decorating and it was great to see the transformation of the property. It’s now a much more pleasant and vibrant environment and we hope that it will help both staff and visitors at MIND.
“Many thanks to Joe Joy of Travis Perkins in Dalston who generously donated all the materials we used to decorate the property. We look forward to speaking with Mind and hearing about how the development has helped the centre.”
At the start of 2013, PTS chose Cruse Bereavement Care and Mind, the mental health charity, as its official charity partners for the next two years. The move to support the charities equally will see its extensive branch network raise awareness and much-needed funds for both causes, which will include Mind’s partners SAMH and NIAMH in Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively.
