Rafter Roll is a semi-rigid roll of glass mineral wool with extra high thermal performance, designed for friction fitting between rafters.

Rafter Roll is designed for insulating between the rafters of pitched roofs in new build and existing buildings. It is easy to cut and friction fit between rafters.

Rafter Roll can be used either as a single or double layer between rafters, or as the first layer of a two layer system in combination with Polyfoam Linerboard.

Rafter Roll is non-combustible glass mineral wool, defined as mineral wool in BS 3533: 1981 and is manufactured in accordance with BSI Quality Assurance Standard BS EN ISO 9001: 2000, and Product Standard EN 13162.

Durability

Rafter Roll is odourless, rot proof, non-hygroscopic, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.

Environmental

Insulation products made with ECOSE® Technology contain no dye or artificial colours – the colour is completely natural.

Thermal Performance

Rafter Roll has a thermal conductivity of 0.032 or 0.036 W/mK.

Fire Performance

Rafter Roll is classified as Euroclass A1 to BS EN ISO 13501-1.

Acoustic performance

Rafter Roll has excellent sound absorption characteristics.

Rafter Roll is free from CFCs, HCFCs and any other material with ozone depletion potential in its manufacture and content and represents no known threat to the environment.

Rafter Roll’s manufacture has a low impact on the environment and is classified as Zero ODP and Zero GWP.

Vapour Resistance

Rafter Roll allows water vapour to pass freely through it, therefore allowing the construction element to breathe.

Rafter Roll is unfaced, making it necessary to install a separate vapour control layer.

Handling and Storage

Rafter Roll is easy to handle and install, being lightweight and easily cut to size, where necessary. It is supplied in polythene packs which are designed for short term protection only.

For longer term protection on site, the product should either be stored indoors, or under cover and off the ground.

Installation instructions are on every pack. Rafter Roll should not be left permanently exposed to the elements.
