Description

Loft Roll 40 is an unfaced glass mineral wool roll which is lightweight, flexible, resilient and non-combustible. Loft Roll 40 is available in two variants:

•Loft Roll 40 (Ready-cut) is pre-cut into either 2mm x 570mm widths or 3mm x 380mm widths

•Loft Roll 40 (Combi-cut) is perforated along its length at half and one third widths to allow easy splitting on-site to the required width

Standards

Loft Roll 40 is a non-combustible inorganic glass wool, defined as mineral wool in BS 3533 and is manufactured in accordance with BSI Quality Assurance Standard BS EN ISO9001: 2001.

Handling and Storage

Loft Roll 40 is supplied in polythene packs.

Application

For the provision of thermal and acoustic insulation in new build lofts and also loft conversions. Loft Roll 40 is available in thicknesses to suit current Building Regulations and is 1160mm wide, perforated or cut to suit both 400 and 600 roof joist centres. It has the highest achievable fire classification of A1.

Loft Roll 40 is free from CFCs, HCFCs and any other material with ozone depletion potential in its manufacture and content and represents no known threat to the environment.

Loft Roll 40’s manufacture has a low impact on the environment and is classified as Zero ODP and Zero GWP.

Thermal Performance The thermal conductivity of Loft Roll 40 is 0.040 W/mK.

Fire performance Loft Roll 40 is classified as Euroclass A1 to BS EN ISO 13501-1

Permanence Loft Roll 40 is odourless, rot proof, non-hygroscopic, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.
