Systems protrude less than 200mm above the roof so are classed as a permitted development in both England and Scotland and as such do not require planning permission in non-conservation areas.

The PV packs use MCS certificated hardware so are eligible for the Government Feed in Tariff incentive when properly installed by a MCS accredited installer.
