A group of Northamptonshire builders, plumbers and contractors, all customers of merchant Travis Perkins, have completed an exclusive ten day course to become New Entrant Green Deal Domestic Advisors (Assessors).
The course, provided by Sustainable Building Solutions (SBS) and its official partner PPL Training, is unique in that training can be done in dedicated local facilities for the customer, making it highly accessible, workable, and low-cost.
The course is the most comprehensive on the market; not only offering an initial six day course to become a Domestic Energy Assessor, but a further four days to enable delegates to qualify as a Green Deal Domestic Advisor (Assessor). The course has the added benefit of ensuring all five required domestic energy assessment properties are arranged as part of the City & Guilds full portfolio build.
Eimear Montague, Service Development Manager for SBS, said: “The third New Entrant Green Deal course was run in Northampton after the local Travis Perkins branch identified demand from a number of customers. With the course held in the branch and at local residences, the training process can be much quicker, allowing delegates to get out there and offer Green Deal assessments to homeowners in next to no time.”
SBS was created to provide builders, architects and specifiers with energy efficient and compliant solutions which are applicable for new-build, retrofit and repair and maintenance markets.
